AKD Engages in Diplomatic Talks with the Japanese government
During his visit to Japan, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), held a meeting with Mr. TSUGE Yoshifumi, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, today (22nd). The discussion focused on Sri Lanka’s current economic and political landscape, the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan, and the future of diplomatic and economic ties.
Special attention was given to the upcoming presidential election. Mr. TSUGE Yoshifumi also extended his congratulations to Mr. Dissanayake on his visit. The meeting was attended by Mr. TSUTSUMI Taro, Director of the Southwest Asian Division of the Department of Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs, Mr. IWASE Kiichiro, Deputy Director of the same division, and several members of the Japan Committee of the National People’s Power.
